Humboldt State hosted Cal State Los Angeles on Saturday and grabbed an 85-74 victory. The Lumberjacks led 46-31 at the half. Regarding Nor Cal talents: Rakim (Central High - Fresno) Brown enjoyed 16 points (7-9 shooting) plus five rebounds and teammate Andrew (Los Medanos College) Cones tallied 14 points, going 4-5 from three-point range.
For the Southlanders, Andre (Deer Valley High) McPhail totaled four points and four boards in 11 minutes.
