Peewee Gardner “5-7″ Mt. San Jacinto: The Freshman from Oakland has been great and has been mentioned already in this feature. Gardner is averaging 16.0 points and 6.3 assist. Gardner and teammate Sam Williams have been a solid 1-2 punch for the Eagles.

Otero winds led by Bateast

Otero JC (CO) topped Planet Academy 99-89 last Friday night with former Piedmont Hills star Walter Bateast scoring 21 points.

Arizona tops Irvine

Visiting UC Irvine led 29-26 over Arizona after the first 20 minutes but the Wildcats won the second half by 20 and triumphed 71-54.

Brandon Ashley finished at 11 points (3-10 shooting), six rebounds, two assists and the same number of steals.

For the Anteaters, Travis (Turlock High) Souza tied for team high with 11 points, going 3-5 from beyond the arc and Will (Sacramento High) Davis added seven points plus five boards. Irvine garnered but a single blocked shot.

Morris-Walker and Payton lead OSU

Host Oregon State topped Corban 86-62 Tuesday night getting 16 points apiece from Langston Morris-Walker and Gary Payton II.

USF over ND de Namur

USF had no problem with Notre Dame de Namur last night winning 86-46 on The Hilltop. Mark (San Ramon Valley High) Tollefson scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds for the Dons.  Don (DeAnza College/Aragon High) Washington of the Argonauts finished with 10 points and four boards.

NM State bests Northern Colorado

New Mexico State had no trouble with Northern Colorado, winning 86-65. For the Aggies, Remi Barry totaled 17 points while Dominique Lee of the Bears finished with a 10 point/10 rebound double-double.
