Yuba College handled host Allan Hancock College 79-69 on Saturday as Joseph (Newark Memorial High) Zamora was large with 18 points, seven boards and three assists and freshman guard Jalen (River City High) Davis contributed 13 points, shooting 3-4 from long distance.

Nevada 85, Pacific 82

In Stockton and in double overtime, Nevada emerged victorious over Pacific 85-82 on Saturday. For the Wolf Pack, Cameron (Grant High) Oliver went for eight point, eight boards and four blocks.

T.J. Wallace and Ray Bowles, both out of Modesto Christian were big again for the Tigers via 20 and 19 points respectively. The latter also grabbed 12 rebounds for a double-double. However, the former shot 1-10 from three-point range.

Powered by an 11 rebound, 10 point double-double from Chris (Yuba College/Center High) Smith, Utah State has no trouble defeating Union Friday night 73-49.

USF 58, UC Riverside 57

On the Hilltop Saturday night, UC Riverside led by one after 20 minutes but the Dons won the second 20 minutes by two to take the victory. Courtesy of going 14-16 at the foul line, Devin Watson led San Francisco with 27 points.

For the Highlanders, Malik (Central Arizona JC/Pleasant Grove High) Thames led with 15 points on 5-9 from three-point range. UCR earned just five free throw attempts and 30 of its 62 shots were treys. Taylor Johns did not play for the visitors.

At home, Fresno Pacific downed Cal Maritime 87-64 on Saturday as freshman guard Kiree (Santa Cruz High) Hutchings started and posted a seven point, nine assist line. For the Keelhaulers, Daniel (Columbia College/Harte High) Radford led with 18 points.

At home, Cal Poly Pomona had no trouble with Winona State on Saturday, winning 77-50. senior guard Barry (McClymonds High) Bell filled the stat sheet for the victors, finishing with 10 points, eight assists, five steals and four rebounds in 23 minutes.

Up in Arcata on Saturday, Humboldt State took down Holy Names University 85-74. With 21 points, Thomas (Diablo Valley College/Arcata High) Witzel led the Lumberjacks and right behind was Rakim (Eastern Washington/Central High) Brown's 20 points. Brown was King of the Boards with 15.

For HNU, Dante (Salesian High) Robinson led with 17 points with Josh (Bishop O'Dowd) Crum netting 14.

Despite his team falling by 13 points on Saturday. Parker (Santa Rosa JC/Humboldt State/McKinleyville High) Farris scored 27 points.

A 42-26 first half deficit was too much to overcome for Cal State East Bay as the Pioneers fell to host Point Loma 91-76 on Saturday. Former Santa Clara guard Jalen Richard paced CSEB with 19 points and Jack (DeAnza College/Scotts Valley High) Pasquini posted a 16 point, seven rebound line.

A 40-22 second half point differential blew open the game for host Sonoma State in defeating Academy of Art 77-56 on Saturday. James (Northern Colorado/Arroyo High) Davis' 19 points and Andy (Ohlone JC/Moreau Catholic High) Mitchell's 15 topped the scoring for the Seawolves.

In Turlock Saturday night, Dominican University got by Stanislaus State 70-66. Matt (Yuba City High) Hayes was second in scoring for the Penguins with 17 points and he also corralled six boards. Teammate Chris (Sacramento Country Day) Schwartz-Edmisten tallied 15 points.

Alek (Turlock High) Carlson shot 4-8 from beyond the arc and concluded the contest with 16 points.

In a shocker, Arkansas- Little Rock defeated host San Diego State 49-43 on Saturday. For the Aztecs, Dakarai (Sheldon High) Allen finished with 11 points plus seven boards while in 17 minutes Malik (Lagina Creek High) Pope totaled four and four.
