Sonoma St. 78, Cal State East Bay 55

Over in Hayward, Sonoma State jumped out to a 16-point halftime lead on the way to defeating Cal State East Bay 78-55 on Friday.

Mike (Diablo Valley College/Monte Vista High) Harris, James (Northern Colorado/Arroyo High) Davis and J.J. (Colorado State-Pueblo/Bradshaw Christian High) Mina each totaled 12 points with the latter also corralling nine rebounds.

James (College of the Redwoods/Ferndale High) Slade and David (Portland/Marin Catholic High) Ahern both contributed 11 points plus Zen (Monterey Peninsula College/Santa Cruz High) Maki tallied 10.

For the Pioneers, Cody (Humboldt State/Rocklin High) Kale led with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists while Jacari (St. Joseph Notre Dame) Whitfield totaled 12 points.
