Here's an update about the current Bay Area Hoosier roster. This
year's squad will be co-coached by Rob Jones and Phillip Doherty,
longtime Hoosier and northern California hoops fixtures.
The 2012 Hoosier roster:
* Noah Allen, 6-foot-6, Palma High, 2013, Tri-County Athletic League MVP - "USF and St. Mary's are interested" - PDoherty
* Dylan Alexander, 6-foot-3, Weston Ranch High, 2013, 19.5
points per game, led Valley Oak League in scoring - "Dylan is bouncy
and shoots really well, USF is interested" - PDoherty
* Chris Bailey, 6-foot-5, Clovis East High, 2013, brother of Kevin Bailey now with the Portland Pilots
* Aaron Cochran, 6-foot-9, Buhach Colony High, 2013
* Duke Doulphus, 6-foot-7, Edison High, 2013
* Aubrey Dawkins, 6-foot-3, Palo Alto High, 2013, De Anza League First Team honoree
* Jermaine Edmonds, 6-foot-5, Salesian High, 2013, coming off a state championship season
* Devin Koeplin, 5-foot-8, Dublin High, 2013, a lefty and an Honorable Mention All-DFAL
* Markel Leonard, 6-foot, Salesian High, 2013 - "Princeton and Columbia are really on Markel," - PDoherty
* Guillermo Nunez, 5-foot-10, Sierra High, 2013 - "a combo guard
who plays basketball and football (quarterback), he is a fierce
competitor and can shoot the lights out" - PDoherty
* Elliott Pitts,
6-foot-6, De La Salle High, 2013, First Team All-EBAL - "Cal,
Georgetown, UCLA and Arizona State are among his suitors, efficient
offensively, Noah doesn't require a lot of shots to score, he can
really pass and has great vision, he's also grown and gotten really
long, he'll be a one and a two at the next level and a one in the NBA" -
PDoherty
* Alfredo J. Vargas, 6-foot-8, School-TBD, 2014
* TJ Viney, 5-foot-9, Edison High, 2013
Additionally, Pitts and Doulphus boast 4.0 or 4.0+ grade point averages,
Nunez checks in at 3.9 and everyone else is at 3.4, 3.5 or higher.
The Hoosiers will be participating in the Fab 48 in Las Vegas come late
July plus a number of tournaments before and afterwards, including the Adidas Spring Classic in Indianapolis on April 27-29.
