Cabrillo bests Chabot

From the Cabrillo College basketball site:

The Cabrillo College Seahawks won tonight 56-48 over Chabot College (Hayward) in Aptos. The win improves the Seahawks record to 8-4 in the year. The loss for Chabot drops them to 5-6 on the year.

Cabrillo struggled tonight from the three-point line. In the first half the Seahawks went 0-12 but still managed to be tied at half 17-17.

In the second half, the Seahawks managed to knock down five three-point shots and extended the lead to 12 points, 35-23. Cabrillo continued to play outstanding defense and closed the game out as they connected on 19-25 free throw attempts.

Colin Gruber lead the Seahawks in scoring with 21 points. Phoenix Bills and Cody Love each chipped in with 9.
