COM over Napa

College of Marin notched another victory yesterday -- from the Marin Independent Journal:

Rashaad Allen returned from an ankle injury to score 22 points, leading the College of Marin men's basketball team to an 81-64 victory over Napa at the Skyline Tournament on Sunday.

Joey Rodriguez added 14 points for COM (5-3) and was named to the all-tournament team. Josh Hayworth contributed 16 points and former Marin Academy High standout Merlin Edwards chipped in with 13 points. COM rallied for the victory after Napa (3-5) held a 36-33 lead at the half. 

"We switched from zone to man (defense) which helped," COM coach Dave Granucci said. "We also got better energy in the second half, starting going to the basket instead of settling for outside jump shots. We rebounded the ball well, held them to one shot."
