SCU Coach Keating with an unusual offer

Keating's offer: With school not in session and dorms not reopening until Sunday, Keating made a pitch to students to return in time for Saturday's game against Gonzaga.

"We need all their energy," Keating said. "And if any of them read this and any of them want to stay here and can't have a room on campus ... I want them to personally call the office and I will reimburse them up to $100 for a hotel room."

How that process will work wasn't exactly clear as of Wednesday night, but it did appear that being a student at Santa Clara suddenly became more lucrative.
