Merritt College, Cosumnes River College, Skyline College, Sierra College and College of Alameda are participating in a southern California JUCO event this weekend -- here are some tidbits from Dave Rogahn:

* Merritt 41 Santa Monica 37. Scrambly turnover-filled game. SMC led 25-18 early in 2nd.

* Cosumnes River 66 Porterville 49. A.J. Bridges 18 pts, Jaycob Velasco 12 pts 11 rebs for CRC.

*  Antelope Valley 36 Sierra 33. Kendrick Thomas AVC 9 pts 13 rebs. Sierra's half-court shot at the buzzer hit the rim.

*  LA Southwest 47 Skyline 45 in OT. 

* Santa Ana 59 Alameda 44.
