Any article about who is the best coach or best coaches is always interesting to read but also misses the mark because of place/circumstance. Who is to say that Coach So-and-So, whether it be in the DI ranks or NAIA, isn't the best (whatever that means) even if he hasn't nabbed championships due to location/funding?
Also, should winning a championship automatically be translated into being the best coach? Who did a better job last season: Wichita State's Gregg Marshall or Rick Pitino, the coach of the national championship team?
