Cal State Stanisalus' Marcus Bell has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Feb. 24-Mar. 2.
The Modesto product earned his third CCAA Player of the Week nod this season after dominating performances in his final two games of the 2013-14 regular-season, including an upset win over No. 17 Cal Poly Pomona.
In Friday's double OT win over the Broncos, Bell scored 16 points with 17 rebounds for his 11th double-double this season. The following night, the senior exploded for 30 points on eight-for-10 shooting from the floor and 14-for-18 shooting from the free throw line to complete the weekend.
On the weekend, Bell averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds to help the Warriors in clinching the No. 4 seeded spot in the 2013-14 CCAA Basketball Championships.
