Down in Riverside, host Cal Baptist turned away Dominican University on Thursday 76-69. Jordan Giusti enjoyed 11 points on 5-5 shooting plus five assists while teammate Michael Smith contributed 10 points.
For the Penguins, Matt Hayes shot 8-14 overall, 5-5 from long distance on his way to 22 points and he also grabbed seven rebounds. Chris Schwartz-Edmisten finished with 14 points and Dom Taplin 13.
