For SJCC, Chris (Delano High) Sterling and Devonne Nolan each scored 21 points, with Maurice Joiner's 10 points and nine boards just missing a double-double and Stevenaire (Mt. Eden High) Young totaling nine rebounds, eight points plus six assists.

For BC, Arthur (Salinas High) Caldwell exploded for 31 points with teammate Jud (Orland High) Sailsbery tallying 20 points and six assists.

For FRC, Nick Longmire was huge with 24 points plus 15 boards and Jarrell Tate contributed 18 points.

For CC, Rohndell (West High) Goodwin went big for 29 points, Israel (Palo Alto High) Hakim enjoyed 19, Crisshawn Clark 17 and Manny Martin's 14 points plus 10 boards earned him double-double status.

* Cabrillo College 53 - West Valley College 29

From Cabrillo College Men's Basketball:

Cabrillo got back on track tonight at home vs West Valley College who came into the game undefeated in conference play and in sole possession of first place in the Coast South. The Seahawks jumped on West Valley early, scoring the first 16 points of the game and never looked back. At the breaik Cabrillo held a 34-16 advantage and would improve upon that quickly once the second half got underway. Coach Tony Marcopulos was able to get everyone into the action tonight as the Seahawks cruised to a 53-29 win improving their home record to 6-1 on the season.

Zavon Jackson led all scorers with 12 points, his partner in crime Latrell Wilson finished with 10, Kean Flowers knocked in three triples on the night to tally 9 points and Allen Wilcher chipped in 8 all in the first half before he began to facilitate the offense and get his teammates going. The win improves Cabrillo's record to 10-9 on the season and 2-2 in conference play.
