From Yuba College Men's Basketball: "Yuba beats a very good Contra Costa College team in a first place battle at CCC. Yuba improves to 5-0 in conference play and CCC drops to 4-2. Yuba hosts Napa College on Saturday night at 7pm in a rare Saturday game. Looking forward to a great turnout at home!!!
Manny Malou flirted with a rare triple double scoring 10 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and he blocked 9 shots. Barry Ogalue scored 24, Saraba had 15, Zamora had 16 and Coates finished with 13! Bench support was awesome! Great team win."
From Contra Costa College Men's Basketball: "The Comets dropped a tough one 83-70 to Yuba College. The game was tied at halftime, but the Comets had 10 2nd half turnovers which led to their demise. G Dawson Johnson led the Comets with 18 pts, 4 reb, and 3 ast. F Justin Johnson added 15 pts, 5 reb, and 3 ast, while G Tajai Johnson had 14 pts and 6 reb. The Comets now stand at 7-9 overall with a 4-2 record in conference play."

For MC, Travon King posted a 17 point, 11 board double-double while Denzel (McClymonds High) Bellot, with 11 and 11 did likewise. Five other Thunderbirds scored in double figures: Leo (Oakland Tech) Smith 16, Mike McAllister 15, Rodney (Freedom High) Pope and D.J. (Pittsburg High) Kennedy with 13 apiece and Jovontae (El Cerrito High) Carleton with 12.

From the Marin IJ: "Former Drake High standout Luke Chavez scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack for the College of Marin men's basketball team in an 86-52 victory against Solano. Pierre Carter had 13 points for the Mariners (11-3, 4-1 Bay Valley Conference). Stan Kaya added 12 points and Milton Jackson scored 10.
"We were up 49-18 at the half so we came out and really put together a good half defensively, executed offensively and we were able to get in three hard and good practices in this week which resulted in better play for us," COM coach Dave Granucci said. "We definitely came out played hard and played for one another."
