On College of the Redwood's Thursday night win

College of the Redwoods Men's Basketball Page: "CR Men With First Round Win at Mendocino Tournament

UKIAH – The College of the Redwoods men’s basketball team claimed a bit of redemption Thursday by handily defeating Los Medanos 101-92 in the Mendocino Tournament. Los Medanos defeated CR in the championship game of the Solano Tournament last week 105-100.

Redwoods (3-1) will take on Consumnes River (2-1) today at 5 pm in the second round.

Tule O’Rourke and Justin Claus led CR in scoring with 26 and 21, respectively. They combined for seven 3-pointers in the first half, helping Redwoods take a 55-44 lead in to the break.

DeAndre Winston and Will Ingersoll provided a big chunk of the offense in the second half by converting seven of CR’s 11 field goals. Winston finished the game with 17 points and Ingersoll had 18.
