ChicoER: "In the championship game of the San Joaquin Delta tournament, the Butte College men’s basketball team suffered a close loss, falling 84-82 to City College of San Francisco, the top-ranked team in the state.
Terry Clarendon led Butte with 22 points and Josiah Wood scored 14 points. Trey Foster and Michael Shoemaker both collected 13 points.
The Roadrunners built a 27-16 lead in the first half, until the Rams went on a 41-18 run to take the lead.
Butte, however, managed to cut down San Francisco’s lead 83-82 with 18 seconds left to play. A pair of missed shots kept Butte behind, finishing in second place for the tournament..."
