"The Comets dropped a close one 84-77 to Santa Monica College in the first round of the Diablo Valley College Tournament. Rusty off of their 3 week layoff, the Comets were sloppy with the ball turning it over 21 times and converting only 61% of their free throws (14/23). Bobby Syvanthong led the Comets with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists. F Larry Wickett added 12 points and 5 rebounds, and Rae Jackson scored 17 points off the bench. The Comets (2-2) are back in action tomorrow at 2 PM... GO COMETS!"
