It was the Mountain West versus the Big West on Tuesday in Long Beach and the former, in the form of San Diego State, won out over Long Beach State 76-72. Dakarai Allen provided 11 points (4-8, 2-6, 1-2) while Malik Pope tallied nine points (3-9, 1-5, 2-3) and eight boards for the victors. Freshman guard Noah Blackwell played 23 minutes and posted an eight point, two rebound, two steal line for Da Beach.
