Yuba 79, Riverside 76 (Mt. San Jacinto tourney)

It was Yuba College by three over Riverside City College, 79-76, with Vasilije Saraba pacing the 49ers with both 27 points and 11 boards while teammate Josef  (Newark Memorial High) Zamora posted a 21 point, seven rebound, seven assist line.

Xavier Sims came up huge with 12 points, six assists and three steals, and all­tournament selection Manny Malou added 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in 18 minutes while battling foul trouble.

"This was a good weekend for us," said Yuba coach Doug Cornelius, who noted the 49ers' six losses have came against teams that are a combined 55­-12, including three that are still undefeated. "People need to be patient with this team. We're going to be pretty good down the stretch."
