On New Year's Eve, Chico State hosted and beat Cal State Los Angeles 73-55. Corey Silverstrom led with 18 points, center Tanner Giddings totaled 15 plus eight boards and Robert Duncan just missed a double-double via 10 points and nine rebounds.
