Chico State and Cal Poly Pomona met up north on Friday and the latter took a 67-61 victory. For the Wildcats, Robert (Granite Bay High) Duncan posted a 23-point, 13-rebound double-double, Jalen (Castro Valley High) McFerren scored 17 points and Isaiah (Antelope High) Ellis enjoyed a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double. But Duncan had eight turnovers and McFerren six as the Cats totaled 24 in that department. However, Coach Greg Clink's squad did win the boards battle at 41-30 and Chico led 29-17 at the half.
