Chico Enterprise Record: "The Butte College men’s basketball team finished second in the Golden Valley Conference, and four Roadrunners were recognized as part of the All-GVC team led by first-team selections Michael Shoemaker and Josiah Wood.
Guard Trey Foster was a second-team pick, and guard Danny Lewis was chosen as part of the all-defensive team.
A Corning High graduate, Shoemaker led the GVC with an average of 9.2 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-8 sophomore averaged 15.2 points a contest, first among the Roadrunners, and his 1.6 blocks was second in the conference.
The other three Butte players recognized all were freshmen. Foster finished second for Butte in scoring as he averaged 14.2 points per game, and Wood was third at 14.0. Wood also averaged 5.6 rebounds per game, and Foster was second in the GVC with 5 assists a game. His average of 2.3 steals a game ranked third in the conference.
Lewis, a Marysville High graduate, was fourth on the team in scoring at 9.9 points per game and eighth in the GVC with 1.2 steals a contest.
Butte finished the regular season with an 18-9 record overall and was 7-3 in the GVC."
