Fascinating article here. There are gradations applicable in the world of coaching, as there is in any profession. A few 'difference-makers' exist, most fall somewhere in the middle and a few are inexplicable hires. Notwithstanding offensive and defensive styles plus schemes and tactics, those on top, not coincidentally, always seem to have top talent.
Luke Walton's record next season with the Lakers isn't going to look like what he accomplished with the Warriors in Steve Kerr's absence.
