Kelbert staying busy on the court

Former Leland High basketball star James Kelbert will again be playing for the U.S. Virgin Islands 18u national basketball team again this summer.

A two week training camp began July 5 on St Croix and then it's off to Valdivia in Chile for the FIBA Americas tourney July 19 -  25. What will make this especially interesting is that the United States is in the same bracket.

The U.S. Virgin Islands team will be coached by Jareem Dowling, an assistant coach at Arkansas State University, and Jerome Tang, an assistant coach at Baylor University.

Then Kelbert will be off to Pomona Pitzer.
