Gerry Freitas has his SoCal JUCO Shootout scheduled to begin today and continue through Saturday at Cerritos College. Merritt College and Sierra College are the northern California participants.
The Thunderbirds open up at 5:00 against vaunted Antelope Valley College while Sierra takes on Los Angeles Harbor College an hour later. Merritt then plays The Revolution at 7:00 with the Wolverines facing Antelope Valley College at 8:00. AVC features a 6-foot-10, 265 big.
On Saturday, Sierra and College of the Sequoias tangle at 10:00 followed by a Merritt versus Citrus College 11:00 tussle. At noon, it's Sierra challenging Long Beach City College with Merritt and Irvine Valley going at it at 1:00.
