Despite losing Grant Jackson, UC San Diego still has four talents from northern California:

* 6-foot-3 Koree Cox senior (Benicia High/Hawaii Pacific/Solano College)

* 6-foot-7 Kenny Fraser junior (Turlock High)

* 6-foot-8 Michael Shoemaker junior (Corning High/Butte College)

* 6-foot-7 Chris Hansen sophomore (Campolondo High) He averaged 10.3 points and 4.5 rebounds in his initial season.
