Monday: UCSC 81, Pacific Lutheran 70 /// Tuesday: Whittier 87, UCSC 81

Santa Cruz Sentinel: "Andrew Jones came off the bench to lead UC Santa Cruz with 18 points in the men’s basketball team’s 81-70 win over Pacific Lutheran in the UCSC Holiday Classic at Kaiser Permanente Arena on Monday.

The Slugs trailed the Lutes, a fellow NCAA Division III opponent, 38-35 at the half. They rallied back in the second half behind Jones, who scored 13 in the period, and Tre Weston, who scored 12 of his 16 points and pulled down 14 of his 19 rebounds in the second half. Kyle Creighton added 13 total points and three assists and Aptos High alum Ben Dorfman scored 12 plus a steal for UCSC (5-7)..."

On Tuesday: "Despite career-highs from Kyle Creighton and Tre Weston, UC Santa Cruz could't overcome the Whittier Poets in an 87-81 loss at KP Arena.

UCSC (5-8) was led by Tre Weston's 22 points and 16 rebounds, his second-straight double-double. Creighton added a career-high 21 points.  Andrew Jones (11) and Adam Marlow (10) also scored in double figures for the Slugs..."
