Thursday: Merritt 79, Solano 66

On Thursday in Oakland, sophomore guard Tyrell (El Cerrito High) Alcorn went for 33 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in Merritt College's 79-66 defeat of Solano College. He shot 11-15 overall, a blistering 8-10 from three-point range and 3-3 at the foul line. Teammate Tim (Freedom High) Jordan scored 17 points on 7-8 shooting.
