More on Brandon Ashley
From Bruce Pascoe's latest column:
In two road games, freshman Brandon Ashley is shooting 70 percent from the field, has hit 6 of 8 free throws while averaging 10.5 points a game.
Maybe Mark Lyons’ preference for road games is rubbing off on him. “Honestly, road games are a lot more fun than home games just for the simple fact that you have people going against you,” Ashley said at Clemson. “Once you make a big play or do something good, their crowd gets shut down and I think that’s probably one of the best feelings in basketball.”

Arizona too much for Chico
Chico State gave it a shot but Arizona was just too big, long and quick as the host Wildcats (as opposed to their counterparts from northern CA) triumphed 90-68 last night.
Brandon (Bishop O'Dowd High) Ashley totaled seven points and six boards in 20 minutes of play for Coach Sean Miller while Amir (Franklin High) Carraway enjoyed 13 points in 23 minutes of action for Coach Greg Clink.
Michael Regner was impressed by Carraway's play: "Amir Carraway is the real deal. He could play at a high major university. The junior who filled the statsheet for Chico State last season is poised for a breakout year for the nationally ranked Wildcats. Against Arizona he had 13 points and 3 boards."

Brandon Ashley noted
The only Nor Cal talent appearing in CBS Sports' Top 50 bigs is:
40. Brandon Ashley, Arizona
Ashley is supremely talented, and has the ability to be an absolute matchup nightmare for opponents. He runs the floor with a purpose, and finishes effectively around the basket. Will he be the one Arizona freshman to break out this season?
