Brian Stafford has plans
The latest on Denver's Brian (Las Lomas High) Stafford: "Stafford plans to head to Europe to play professionally, joining the ranks of fellow DU greats Nate Rohnert and Yemi Nicholson. Stafford's performance in the classroom mirrored what he did on the court. Stafford became just the fourth DU men's basketball player to earn Academic All-American, while also winning the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, becoming just the third Pioneer basketball player to do so."

A Brian Stafford update
Former Las Lomas High star Brian Stafford is finishing up his senior season at Denver and he's the second-leading scorer at 14.3 points per game. Stafford is shooting 51% overall, 47% on trey attempts.
DU is 20-8 so far in 2011-12, 10-5 and in second place of the Sun Belt Conference West Division.
Every season he has been a Pioneer has seen his scoring average elevate: 11.4 as a frosh, 12.4 as a sophomore and 12.9 points per contest last year. Every season has seen him on the court for 32-33 minutes a go.

Denver beat Northern Colorado 71-65 last night behind 16 points from Brian (Las Lomas High) Stafford.

St. Mary's, on the road, was upset 70-58 by Denver last night. Rob (Riordan) Jones put up a 20/11 double-double (9-14 shooting). Brian (Las Lomas) Stafford scored eight points, including a pair of treys for Denver.

Catching up with Brian Stafford
Now a senior at Denver, Brian (Las Lomas & Lakeshow) Stafford has been a stalwart four year starter for the Pioneers and is averaging 20 points per game while shooting 50% overall, 47% from three-point range and 93% at the foul line so far in 2011.
