Eastern Washington, bolstered by Collin Chiverton's return, took down visiting Northern Arizona 82-59.

The senior out of Archbishop Mitty scored 22 points in 20 minutes, alongside four rebounds, three assists, three blocked shot and a pair of steals.

Montana handles Eastern Washington

Montana took down visiting Eastern Washington 81-66 with Will Cherry collecting eight points, nine assists and a pair of steals in 33 minutes. He was 8-10 from the foul line as he didn't connect on any shots from the floor. In his first game back from a leave, Collin Chiverton posted 15 points in 18 minutes of court time for EW.

Santa Clara over EW

Santa Clara handled Eastern Washington 89-74 last night but Collin Chiverton led the Eagles with 19 points on on 7-15 overall shooting, 4-8 from three-point range.

Eastern Washington finally nails down a win

Eastern Washington finally got into the win column with a 75-70 victory over USD - Upstate. In 18 minutes of play, Collin (Archbishop Mitty) Chiverton contributed 19 points (5-8 from long distance) but also fouled out.

Eastern Washington was up and down again, this time it resulted in an 86-83 loss to Utah Valley. Collin Chiverton produced 13 points in 24 minutes on the court.

WSU 19 better than EWU

Washington State handled Eastern Washington 88-69 in a game that involved a trip of northern California talents. WSU led 39-20 at the half.


For the victors, frosh Richard (Bishop O'Dowd) Longrus (now with a first name/nickname listed as Junior) totaled five rebounds, four points and two blocked shots in 13 minutes of action.

Ivan Dorsey sxored seven points in 21 minutes for EWU. Collin Chiverton played just six minutes, scoring three points.

Nor Cal talents in the Big Sky Conference

Jonathan Reed was a participant in the recent conference call of Big Sky coaches and these Nor Cal-related tidbits appeared in his post:
"...When asked about Collin Chiverton, he [Eastern Washington Coach Jim Hayford] said he is a lot healthier, and that he is looking for more consistency from him. He said when Chiverton is good, he is really good, and when he is bad, he is really bad. More consistency will help the whole team..."
"...He [Montana Coach Wayne Tinkle] talked about the decision for Will Cherry not to have surgery, and said it was the safer route for his future. He will be getting the cast off this week, and they are hoping he can return by early December..."
"...He [Sacramento State Coach Brian Katz] said that three guys have really shown they can step up and be contributors off the bench, and they are Mikh McKinney, Cody Demps..."

In the only note about Collin Chiverton that we could find is him scoring a team-leading 22 points in the opening game.

Irvine 78, EW 73

Collin Chiverton led Eastern Washington with 20 points (in 26 minutes) but host UC Irvine still prevailed by five. For the Anteaters, Chris McNealy scored 15 points and added seven assists, Mike Best provided 12 points, six boards and four blocked shots in 15 minutes of court time and Will Davis contributed six rebounds, four points and four blocks also in 15 minutes of play.
