Sonoma by one over CSEB

Visiting Cal State East Bay and Sonoma State faced off on Saturday night and it was the Seawolves by one, 73-72 at the final buzzer.

Backcourter Gabe (Fremont High) Kindred enjoyed his finest Pioneer night to date in the losing cause with a line consisting of 20 points, four assists and an equal number of steals.

Sonoma's Patrick (Bear Creek High) Scott led his crew with 23 points.

Remember Gabe Kindred?

Gabe (Fremont High) Kindred played this season at Salt Lake Community College, this after transferring over from Loyola Chicago.

How did he perform?

In 29 games (24 as a starter), he scored 9.1 points and grabbed 3.2 rebounds a game, shooting 39%, 25% and 76% respectively. He nabbed 42 steals (second on the squad) and passed for a team-leading 101 assists.

A Gabe Kindred update

Gabe Kindred, who played at Loyola (Illinois) last season after redshirting there the season before due to a broken foot, has resurfaced at Salt Lake City College.

The former Fremont High baller is averaging a team-leading 13.3 points per game (three contests), shooting 59% overall, 43% on threes and a is a perfect 11-11 from the foul line.
