Gaels add a JC backcourter

Credit this to Brad Winton as St. Mary's has signed a SoCal community college backcourter: "James Walker (6-3/G/2012), of Citrus College (CA), has signed with St. Mary's (CA)"

Walker played his freshman season at Utah State and then transferred to Citrus. He was named the Co-MVP of the California community college ranks this year.

He averaged 19.1 points per game in 2011-12, shooting 46% overall, 35% from long distance and 83% at the foul line.

Two NorCal schools interested in James Walker

6-foot-2 Citrus College guard James Walker, who was named a California Community College Co-Player of the Year this season and played at Utah State as a frosh, is supposedly deciding between University of San Francisco, Saint Mary’s, TCU, Colorado and Missouri State.
