A Mike Kurtz update
Former UC Davis big Mike Kurtz is now at Biola University and averaging 10.4 points and 6.2 rebounds a game while shooting 51% overall and 76% at the free throw line. He's participated in 15 games with 13 starts while on the court for 29 minutes per contest. Kurtz has also blocked 46 shots to date.

Kurtz keeps on heeping on
Last Friday, Biola matched up with Azuza Pacific and the latter won 71-64 despite 13 rebounds, seven points and four blocked shots from Mike Kurtz.
For the season, Kurtz is averaging 11.2 points and 6.9 rebounds. He's shooting 54% and has 27 blocked shots in 11 games.

Kurtz continues to roll
In the Cal Maritime 75-64 victory over Biola noted earlier, we failed to list that Mike (Woodcreek High/UC Davis) Kurtz posted 12 points, eight boards and three blocked shots for Biola.

Cal Maritime wins again
Cal Maritime took down Biola 74-65 in Vallejo in Saturday night behind 22 points (four treys) from senior Keven Campbell. For Biola, Mike Kurtz totaled 12 points, eight boards and a trio of blocked shots.

Kurtz does it again
Biola University took down La Sierra 75-50 with Mike (Woodcreek High/UC Davis) Kurtz totaling eight points, six rebounds and five blocks in 31 minutes of play.
Teammate Jamie (San Juan High/Sierra College) Ball added 15 points (3-3 from long distance) and seven boards during his 22 minutes of court time.

Kurtz shines in Biola victory
Host Biola proved 11 points better than Simpson University Friday afternoon as Mike (Woodcreek High/UC Davis) Kurtz packaged together 16 points (7-8 shooting), five rebounds and five blocked shots for the victors. Sophomore Jonnie Washburn topped Simpson with 16 points.
