Former SoCal prep big Ronnie Stevens, now a 6-foot-8 sophomore at Indian Hills College *(iowa), is getting interest from a Nor Cal school: "...Saint Louis was in to watch Stevens over the weekend. Bradley, Nevada and Pacific are also recruiting Stevens..."

The Tigers nab another win
Pacific wins again. Two new additions, former Santa Rosa Junior College guard Sama Taku scored 19 points and newcomer Consumnes River College frontcourter Tony Gill added 13. Taku scored 14 points in the preceding game. Seeing the new recruits contributing heavily bodes well for Tiger hoops.

Former Archbishop Mitty wing Thomas Peters is now listed as a walk-on with Pacific, as is Reed Kamler, a backcourter out of San Rafael High. Earlier, it was announced that Aaron Hendricks, a guard out of Del Oro High, would be walking on in Stockton.

Coach T to retire
Pacific Coach Bob Thomason has announced his retirement after one more go-around in the Big West Conference. This is the way to end it, allowing opposing teams to honor/acknowledge his accomplishments over two decades plus.

Aaron Hendricks returns
Former Del Oro backcourter Aaron Hendricks has accepted a preferred walk-on position with Coach Bob Thomason and the Pacific basketball team.
The 6-foot-2 Hendricks played two seasons at New Hampton School in New Hampshire and is finishing up this month.

Pacific lands a backcourter
6-foot-3, 200 pound backcourter/wing Aaron Short has given a verbal to Coach Bob Thomason and the University of Pacific. He played the last two seasons at Cabrillo College, averaging a team-leading 15.8 points plus 7.4 rebounds a game this season, earning all-state honors for his accomplishments. Short shot 41% overall, 30% on treys and 69% from the foul line while finishing second on the team with 53 steals. His 63 assists was third on the squad.
Short possesses tremendous strength and leaping ability, a player who truly benefited from the full-court pressure style Cabrillo employed in the 2011-112 season.

UC Davis 73, Pacific 64
Host UC Davis proved to be six points better than Pacific last night as Josh Ritchart and Eddie Miller both just missed a double-double with 10 points and nine boards each. JT Adenrele added six points and six rebounds.
