A note from Jeremy Balan at SanFranPreps
Jeremy Balan at SanFranPreps.com sent this along so make a note in your calendar:
I just wanted to update you on our progress in fundraising and to invite you to an event we're having at Lombardi Sports on the corner of Jackson and Polk streets this Saturday, August 6.
The sporting goods store is offering a 10 percent discount on purchases between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. and they will also donate 10 percent of proceeds to our fundraising effort. Writer Bonta Hill and I will also be there for the whole four hours and would love to see you there. If you haven't met us or even if you have, please stop by and say hello. There will also be snacks and refreshments. I'd also like to ask if you could pass this message on to anyone else who might be interested in meeting us or anyone who needs athletic gear for the upcoming school year.
As far as our fundraising efforts are concerned, we have raised nearly $20,000 in donations and pledges to date, and with the matching donation we have a total of almost $40,000. We need to raise another $10,000 before August 15 to keep the site alive for the next school year, so we still need help to get there.
If you would like to make a donation or track our progress, you can find all of the information at this link. If you are not comfortable making a PayPal donation, please e-mail me and I will send you the address you can send a check to. We will also be accepting donations on Saturday.
Thank you so much for your continued support and I hope to see you on Saturday.

Help out the SanFranPreps folks
Please consider extending some financial support to the folks behind the SanFranPreps site -- they do a marvelous job at bringing the players, coaches and teams in The City to the attention of others and nobody else is even in the same universe at doing such.
