Johnson shines as Charleston falls

It certainly wasn't a good night for College of Charleston -- D-II Anderson, CoC 49 -- but freshman Theo (Franklin High) Johnson made the best of it with five points, four rebounds and a pair of blocked shot in 15 minutes on the court.

Theo Johnson signed with College of Charleston (South Carolina) and has played in four games so far. The Franklin High grad is averaging 19 and a half minutes a game plus 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds a contest, shooting 40% overall, from long distance and at the free throw line. He leads the team with 10 blocked shots.

Doug Wojcik, formerly at Tulsa, has taken over the program there upon Bobby Cremins' retirement. The Cougars are coming off a 19-12, 10-8 season and play in the Southern Conference.
