In the New England Recruiting Report's New Hampshire prospect edition, Will (Sacramento High) Davis, Max (Valley Christian High) Hooper and Travis (Turlock High) Souza are ranked ninth, tenth and fourteenth respectively. Hooper is headed to Harvard while Davis and Souza have yet to make a college decision.

The New Hampton School Men's Varsity Basketball teams hosts national power Brewster Academy Saturday night at 6 pm EST (3 p.m. Pacific). The game will be broadcat live -- tune in to New Hampton School TV for the Live Webcast.

 

On the New Hampton roster are Will Davis (Sacramento High), Travis Souza (Turlock High) and Aaron Hendricks (Del Oro High).

Here's an NERR report on what the New Hampton Prep (New Hampshire) team is looking like so far:

"...Auguste’s running mate along the frontline will be Will Davis, a 6’9” hybrid big man from Sacramento, California who is very mobile and especially athletic.."

and.  

 "...[Travis] Souza may be the most versatile player on the roster. Another high percentage shot maker, the California native can play a variety of different positions and can sneak up and dunk on an unsuspecting defender with his deceptive athleticism..."

OAKLAND — After Turlock High found out on Sunday that its first-round regional playoff game would be against Castlemont, the Bulldogs had exactly one practice session to prepare a game plan based on whatever scouting report they could muster.

So Turlock worked Monday on its zone defenses, expecting the usual from tall, athletic teams — an attack based on penetration and power.

On Tuesday, it took a very short time to realize not only that the scouting report was only half-right, but that the Bulldogs weren't physically able to do much about stopping the Knights — the champions of the Oakland Section...

After earning a reputation as a reliable scorer the last two years, Travis Souza added to his repertoire this season in a bid to help Turlock win the CCC.

"We are looking for him to control the tempo of the game, get his teammates involved in the offense and be a vocal leader," said coach Doug Cornfoot, who expects to see Souza playing college ball next season. "I see Travis playing off-guard in college. He shoots well, sees the court and can find the open man. (He's) being recruited by Cornell, Wyoming, Stanislaus, UC San Diego, Asuza-Pacific, Army and Navy."
