In the initial round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association tourney, Chico State won by 12, 78-66, over San Francisco State. The Gators led by two at the half but the Wildcats poured in 53 second points.
Rashad Parker paced the 'Cats with 26 points, Giordano Estrada totaled 16 (4-7 from long distance), Amir Carraway finished with 13 and Jordan Semple led all with 11 boards.
Brandon Tatum was en fuego for the Gators, shooting 9-11 overall to conclude with 25 points.
