Down south last Saturday, host Cal Poly Pomona topped Sonoma State in the regular season finale but the Seawolves turned that around on Tuesday with a 63-56 defeat of visiting Pomona as Jimmy Golden scored 13 points and Ronnie Harris 10.
In this one, Sonoma shot 46% overall while holding the Southlanders to 38%.
The Seawolves will meet San Francisco State next in the California Collegiate Athletic Association semi-finals.
