Chico over CSUMB

Ot was Chico State 69-65 over Cal State San Bernardino Saturday night, as Luke Reid reports. Sophomore Jordan (Arcata High) Semple stuffed the stat sheet with 14 points, 12 boards and five blocked shots for the Wildcats. Brian (Diablo Valley College) Goins totaled 15 points for CSUMB.

Goins' 15 leads San Berdoo to victory

On Monday night, Cal State San Bernardino topped Cal Baptist 71-69 as Brian (Diablo Valley College) Goins went for 15 points, five steals and three assists for the victors. Former Yuba College frontcourter Kevin Crabb put up nine points and eight rebounds for CB.

Goins powers Coyotes to win

It was Cal State San Bernardino 90 to UC San Diego's 82 Saturday night as former Diablo Valley College backcourter Brian Goins tallied a team-leading 23 points (9-16 shooting), four assists and three steals for the victors.

Senior Justin (Bishop O'Dowd) Brue totaled 24 points (12-16 shooting) for the Tritons and also nabbed nine rebounds.

Goins leads CSSB in scoring

Brian (Diablo Valley College) Goins poured in 29 points (10-20, 3-6, 6-6 shooting) and added five rebounds but it wasn't enough as Cal State San Bernardino fell 97-90 to Westmont on Tuesday evening.

Goins lead San Bernardino

Cal Tech and Cal State San Bernardino matched up on November 11 and the latter won going away 97-53. Reason for the mention of this is because in former DVC backcourter Brian Goins' initial game, he tallied 16 points (7-12 overall shooting, 2-4 from long distance) and three assists in 24 minutes of action.

Goins switches to Cal State San Bernardino

Brian Goins, the star backcourter out of Diablo Valley College the past couple of years, has changed destinations and now will be attending Cal State San Bernardino and playing for Coach Jeff Oliver.

Now, he will have the opportunity to play a number of away games here in northern California as CS San Bernardino is a member of the California Collegiate Athletic Conference which also includes other D-II northern California members Cal State East Bay, Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal State Stanislaus, Chico State, Humboldt State, San Francisco State and Sonoma State, among others.

Diablo Valley College star backcourter Brian Goins will be playing next at Concordia College in Irvine. Concordia just won the NAIA national championship and is coached by former Stanford guard Kenny Ammann.
