Washington too much for Jackson State

Jackson State was game but still fell to host Washington 75-67 last night.

Christian (Sierra High) Williams finished with 15 points (4-8 long distance shooting) for the Mississipians while Desmond (Salesian High) Simmons finished with five points, nine rebounds and four assists for UW.

St. Mary's romps

Matthew Dellavedova went for 31 points and Brad Waldow 21 in St, Mary's 120-67 bopping of Jackson State. Redshirt freshman point Jordan Giusti added seven assists for the Gaels.

In his return to the Bay Area, Christian Williams totaled 14 points for the Magnolia Staters.

Christian Williams back in the Bay Area on Tuesday

Zack Farmer take his weekly look at the West Coast Conference, including this note which means Christian (Sierra High) Williams will be back in the Bay Area on December 11:
Jackson State (0-5) at Saint Mary’s (6-2), 7 p.m.
After convincing wins against Cal Poly and Drake, Saint Mary’s looks to be back into form but were without the services of guard Stephen Holt. The Gaels should have little problem when they host Jackson State on Tuesday. Jackson State is shooting 35 percent from the field as a team and have allowed at least 76 points in each of their five games.

Williams' 24 not enough

North Texas took down Jackson State 83-65 last night although Christian (Sierra High) Williams scored 24 points (5-9 from long distance) for the Mississippians. He also posted four rebounds and a trio of assists.

Williams stars again

Christian (Sierra High) Williams scored 22 points but it wasn't enough as Jackson State fell 84-75 to host Texas Tech last night. The senior backcourter shot 6-14 from three-point range and and pilfered five steals.

Christian (Sierra High/Manteca) Williams scored 23 points (5-9 from long distance) in 32 minutes of play but Jackson State still fell to Tulsa 86-66 on Thursday.

Williams shows well against Baylor

In a 92-59 loss last night to Baylor, Christian (Sierra High-Manteca) Williams paced Jackson State with 14 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes. The 6-foot-1 backcourter is a junior.

The season for Christian Williams

Christian Williams is out of Sierra High in Manteca and the 6-foot-1 guard just finished up his junior year at Jackson State (Jackson, Mississippi) which finished 7-24/5-13. His season ended early (as it also did for the team's top player) due to a fractured heel but he averaged 11 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, shooting 38%, 31% and 84% respectively. His top point total this season was 28 versus Grambling.

Jackson State is a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Christian (Sierra High, Manteca) Williams scored a team-leading 20 points in Jackson State's 72-66 loss to Prarie View A&M.

Jourdan (Chabot College) Demuynck totaled 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the victors.

Christian Williams to make a pair of Bay Area appearances

Jackson State faces Cal today and St. Mary's on Monday and that means two appearances in the Bay Area for former Sierra High (Manteca) junior guard Christian Williams. He has started all eight games for JS and is averaging 8.4 points per game.

Christian Williams scored 14 points last night in Jackson State's 57-51 loss to Tulsa. The 6-foot-2 junior from Sierra High in Manteca is starting, averaging 31 minutes a game.
