Sheldon High has scheduled big

Sheldon High is going to Louisville, New Orleans and southern California besides playing some of the northern California out-of-conference powerhouses.

Emmanuel Ochenje

 We come across so much material and sometimes fail in recalling the source -- so apologies to whoever for the following item:
Six-foot-nine forward Emmanuel Ochenje - ­ a native of Nigeria who played at Brehm Prep in Illinois last season ­ was part of Team Odom. Why? It's possible that he may be joining Darius Nelson and Ramon Eaton at Sacramento's Sheldon next year.

The wide smile on the face of Darius Nelson told the whole story.

The Sheldon High School junior did tonight what his more celebrated older brother, DeMarcus, couldn't do - lead his team to a Sac-Joaquin Section championship.

The 6-foot-6 forward scored 29 points in leading sixth-seeded Sheldon to a 78-72 win over top-seeded Franklin of Elk Grove in the Division I boys final...

Darius Nelson plays pretty well on one leg.

The 6-foot-6 junior, the younger brother of state scoring prep legend DeMarcus Nelson, put on a marvelous show in Sheldon's up-tempo matchup with Clovis East Saturday night in the Father Kelly Tribute at Jesuit High School.

Nelson poured in a career-high 44 points in leading Sheldon to a 92-86 overtime win over the Fresno-area power...
