Josh Ramirez (Dominican)

Ramirez averaged 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.5 steals and 1.0 assist per game for the Penguins. He scored a season-high 21 points in a comeback victory over Stanislaus State, shooting 7-for-10 from the field and 6-for-6 at the free throw line. Ramirez is 10th in the PacWest in scoring (16.3 ppg).
DEFENDER OF THE WEEK
Jordan Giusti (CBU)
G, Sr., Danville, Calif./St. Mary's HS
Giusti helped No. 11 CBU improve to 6-0 with a victory over Cal State East Bay. He recorded a career-high five steals against the Pioneers, along with four rebounds and five assists. He currently leads the PacWest in steals (2.8 spg).
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Kiree Hutchings (Fresno Pacific)
G, Fr., Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz HS
Hutchings made his first-career start at point guard for FPU against Cal Maritime. He dished out a career-high nine assists, along with seven points, five rebounds and one steal.
