"CLAREMONT, CA – Pomona-Pitzer freshman Micah Elan has been tabbed as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office.
Elan has helped the Sagehens win three-straight games and most recently posted a career-high with 24 points against non-conference opponent Emerson.
Elan tallied all 24 of his points from beyond the three-point line as he shot an impressive 8-9 from deep.
The freshman is currently averaging 12.2 points per game this season and shooting 55.3% from beyond the arc.
Pomona-Pitzer is currently 5-5 overall, 1-0 in SCIAC play, and continue their SCIAC schedule as they next host Cal Lutheran on Thursday, January 5th at 7:00 p.m."
