Chaminade big Matt (Cardinal Newman High) Cousins had 23 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-53 victory over Western Oregon last night.

Davis falls to Southern Utah

Down in a tournament in San Diego, UC Davis lost 76-75 to Southern Utah. As for NorCal talents, Ryan Sypkens led the Aggies with 19 points (four treys) and Josh Ritchart added 15. Freshman JT Adenrele scored 10 points.

North Dakota State beat host USF 73-65 last night. Former Mitty star Angelo Caloiaro scored 11 points and grabbed five boards.

Chiverton scores 25

Collin Chiverton's 25 points led Eastern Washington as the Eagles battled tough but fell to Gonzaga 77-69 last night. The transfer from CCSF made 6-of-12 shots from the 3-point arc and 8-of-24 overall.

6-foot-9 Andrew Young did just as well in game two of the early Monterey Peninsula College season, totaling 32 points and 17 boards in a 69-57 victory against Merced.

Juan Anderson to miss three games

Accepting a ticket to a Milwaukee Brewers playoff game will have for Castro Valley star Juan Anderson missing Marquette's initial three games. Hope the Brewers won when he was there.
