Aaron Gordon earns all tourney honors

The USA (2-1) East team topped the USA (1-2) West squad 122-114 yesterday in the last day of the Nike Global Challenge up in Oregon. A 33-23 second quarter scoring advantage put the Easterners up by 12 at the half and that points differential proved too much to overcome.

Brandon Ashley and Dominic Artis were starters for the Westerners.

Aaron Gordon led with 17 points at the half. But the East players enjoyed a 28-14 first half rebounding advantage, 14-2 offensively.

Gordon finished with 30 points, seven boards, a trio of assists as well as steals. He was selected to the all tourney team.

Artis totaled 14 points and Ashley finished with nine.

Here are a pair of tweets from Justin Young:
"Little Dominic Artis is knocking down some tough 3s in the comeback"

"Blake Griffin dunked over a Kia? Aaron Gordon is going to jump over a friggin' tow truck. Springs for calves"
