Someone who has inexplicably gone under the radar for four years is USF senior forward Angelo Caloiaro. It seemed that college coaches weren't completely sold on him coming out of Archbishop Mitty but Caloiaro has proven any doubters very wrong. He isn't the fastest player nor the highest jumper yet he simply produces.
Here's is a statistical rundown of his USF tenure:
2008-09: 6.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists a game
2009-10: 8.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists a game (shooting 50% overall)
2010-11: 9.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists a gam
2011-12 so far: 14.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists a game, leads the team with 32 steals, is shooting 49% overall, is the team's best three-point shooter at 37%
Call it a college basketball career well done and a tribute to continually working hard.
