Cabrillo gets the best of West Valley

CABRILLO UPENDS WEST VALLEY 75-63

The Cabrillo College Seahawks beat West Valley College 75-63, extending their winning streak to 10. The Seahawks (18-3, 8-0) also remained unbeaten in Coast Conference South play with the win tonight. WVC (8-15, 6-3) started quickly as they shot the ball extremely well all night. Cabrillo got going offensively behind the three-point shooting of Aaron Short, Tyler Velasquez and Dalton Noble. As a result, the Seahawks lead 35-21 at the half.

In the second 20 minutes, WVC connected on eight three-point baskets which got them back into the game for most of the half. Cabrillo took control of the game late with 4:30 to go behind the play of Aaron Short, Tyler Velasquez, Thomas Pierce and Frank Rogers, who all contributed during that stretch.

Tyler Velasquez lead all scorers with 21 points. Aaron Short had 19 and Frank Rogers scored 12. Dalton Noble scored 11 and Thomas Pierce chipped in with 10 second half points.
