The Cal-Hi Sports Stat Stars of the Week

Here are the northern California names on this week's Cal-Hi Sports Stat Stars:

* Aaric Armstead (Bullard, Fresno)

The 6-foot-5 senior scored 33 points, with 26 coming in the first half, as the Knights defeated Edison of Fresno 85-67. Aaric had 21 points against San Joaquin Memorial in a 66-65 setback.

* Alex Fertig (Buchanan, Clovis)

It was a solid week for Fertig, who has to be a candidate for the Fresno Bee’s Player of the Year. He scored 30 points and had 10 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks as the Bears beat a very scrappy Clovis West team 64-57. Alex came back to score 22 points and the coach’s son, Ryan Swain, added 21 points in a 81-59 win against Clovis.

* Josh Flanagan (Valley Christian, Roseville)

The Lions had their highest point total of the season and he led the way with a game-high 32 points in a 107-68 win over Wilton Christian in Sacramento Metro Athletic League action.

* Tucker Forbes (Stevenson, Pebble Beach)

The 6-foot-8, 210-pounder makes another appearance in this feature after a huge double-double of 40 points and 11 rebounds with four steals in a 66-48 win over Marina.

* Max Huff (Kelseyville)

Huff continues to be tough on opponents and makes another appearance in this feature after an 18 point, 20-rebound performance in a 56-38 win over Willits. It was the 14th double-double of the season for the 6-foot-5 senior.

* Theo Johnson (Franklin, Elk Grove)

Despite scoring a game-high 37 points, it wasn't enough for his team to get a win over Barry Ogalue and Laguna Creek as the Wildcats suffered a 75-66 loss in Delta Valley Conference action.

* Erik Kinney (Sacramento)

Putting together an impressive performance on the road, Kinney scored 33 points as the Dragons defeated Burbank 81-71 in Metro Conference play.

* Kenny Love (Cardinal Newman, Santa Rosa)

Junior Love didn’t show any love at all to Rancho Cotate of Rohnert Park after he blitzed them for 30 points in a 68-39 victory.

* Barry Ogalue (Laguna Creek, Elk Grove)

He didn't outscore fellow stat star Theo Johnson, but his team-high 34 points was enough for his team to get a 75-66 win over Franklin of Elk Grove.

* Trevor Priest (Santa Teresa, San Jose)

The 6-foot-6 senior had a season-high 32 points but his team fell short in a 56-52 loss to crosstown Leland. Priest came back in the next game to hit for 29 points in a 66-58 victory over Campbell Westmont.

* Kendall Smith (Deer Valley, Antioch)

The athletic junior guard poured in 32 points to lead the host Wolverines to a 80-74 win over Freedom of Oakley.
